21 Day Gratitude Challenge

In this month of thankfulness, I have created a challenge that anyone can do: 21 days to a gratitude journal habit. Maybe you have an intentional gratitude practice already, maybe it slides to the wayside every so often. Maybe you've intended to start this but haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe you have no idea what I'm talking about. If you fit any of these categories - perfect! You'll be great at this challenge.

The premise is simple: For 21 days - enough to make a habit - commit to spending at least 5 minutes each day recording what you are grateful for. That's it.

The challenge is free and officially runs from November 10 - 30, 2017. Feel free to join in anytime, though; you'll still get all 21 days worth of the challenge materials. I'll help you stay on track with a daily email including more information about this practice or a short exercise and a gratitude prompt. You can share your thoughts, observations, roadblocks, and successes on Facebook or as a comment on this blog post.

You can write in a notepad, type on a computer or your phone, or use a voice recorder; the medium isn't important so much as the act of moving your thoughts into concrete language. This "has advantages over just thinking the thoughts," according to Greater Good.

You'll emerge from the challenge with the beginning of a new habit that could help you form more relationships, feel physically healthier, increase happiness, enhance empathy, sleep better, improve your self-esteem, and increase your resilience during difficult times (Forbes).

Questions? Just ask.

Can't wait to hear how it goes for you.
